Volgograd Shipyard

Volgograd Shipyard is one of Russia's premier builders of a wide variety of sea- and river-going commercial vessels.

This major facility specializes in the latest marine engineering technology, as it applies to the building, conversion, upgrading and repair of Russian and other international merchant vessels.

Ships built, converted and upgraded at Volgograd shipyard are equipped with state-of-the-art safety devices such as GPS (Global Positioning System) and other advanced safety and navigational aids.

In summer, 2004, Volgograd Shipyard delivered to the customer dry-cargo ship project 006RSD05 6,970 DWT. Due to two all-round rudder-propellers the ship is able to turn on her own length (the length of the dry-cargo ship is 141 m).

Volgograd's management has developed a reputation for being flexible in the handling of our clients' special requirements and, at the same time, meeting strict delivery schedules. The shipyard is also very competitive in its pricing policy.

The annual production program 2005/06 includes three cutting-edge tankers of displacement 8,000 mt. The tankers will be equipped in conformity with requirements of international conventions.
