Company history
As an entity MNP Group was established in 2004 (in 2002 – division OMZ – Onshore & Offshore). We consider the history of yard of MNP Group - Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, which has built ships and submarines, produced unique equipment and designed new technologies, to be the history of the Company.

Shipbuilding
In 1887 the first sea oil-carrying schooner Minin for Caspian Sea was built at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, established in 1849. The first Russian cable drill (1892), the first domestic tank, outfitted with gun armament (1912) were produced at this shipyard as well. Since 1930s Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard has been building submarines. Total of 249 diesel and 26 nuclear power submarines have been built at the shipyard during 75 years. In 1955 the first Russian continuous-casting plant was produced at the Shipyard. Since 1967 130 river- and sea-going ships of Sormovskiy type have been built at Krasnoye Sormovo.
